چکیده

Lodging can reduce the yield and quality of oats (Avena sativa L.). Root lodging, as opposed to stem is predominant form lodging in oats. Therefore, identifying management practices that enhance root resistance should be prioritized. The objective this study was investigate effect four on oat grain yield, components, quality, observed plant traits contribute resistance. Row spacing seeding depth were tested three cultivars across two environments Ontario, Canada. Seeding rate application growth regulator trinexapac-ethyl (TE) at different nitrogen (N) fertilizer rates two-to-three environments. occurred naturally all environments, with always occurring, sometimes combination lodging. Under high pressure, shallow increased Similarly, greater when pressure high. Reducing row had no but only practice consistently increase yield. TE reduced some especially N increased. plate spread, depth, safety factor minimally affected by studied complex interactions genotype environment. Among measured crop traits, height strongest most consistent relationship

RICE CULTURE Influence of Row Spacing and Seeding Rate on Grain Yield of Hybrid Rice

Recent interest by producers, researchers, and industry personnel concerning the use of grain drills utilizing 7-in. versus 10-in. row spacing have raised questions as to the optimal drill-row spacing for rice. With the increase in hybrid rice produced and the associated low seeding rates, questions arose regarding the response of these cultivars to row widths. The objective of this study was t...

Effects of Alternative Seeding Patterns, Seeding Rate, and Seeding Configuration on Yield in a Cotton Production System

With the climbing costs of cotton production, producers must ensure optimal returns on their cotton crops in order to make a profit. The groundwork for a high yielding crop has to start with an accurate and efficient planting system to ensure an optimal stand. However, there are a variety of new systems and techniques to incorporate compared to the conventional system that has been used for so ...

Effects of Row-Type, Row-Spacing, Seeding Rate, Soil-Type, and Cultivar Differences on Soybean Seed Nutrition under US Mississippi Delta Conditions

The new Early Soybean Production System (ESPS), developed in the Midsouth USA, including the Mississippi delta, resulted in higher yield under irrigated and non-irrigated conditions. However, information on the effects of the agricultural practices such as row-type (RT: twin- vs. single-row), row-spacing, (RS), seeding rate (SR), soil-type (ST) on seed nutrition under the ESPS environment in th...
